One of the special features of the Göcsej landscape is the forest railway network, which still significantly transports timber and harvested wood today.
Of course, many tourists also use it since decades ago when the railway was opened to the traveling public. The tourist train connects the most beautiful and picturesque tourist attractions in the region between Lenti and Kistolmács.

Of course, many tourists also use it since decades ago when the railway was opened to the traveling public. The tourist train connects the most beautiful and picturesque tourist attractions in the region between Lenti and Kistolmács. Deer, roe deer, wild boar, buzzards, and other rare, protected birds are often spotted along the way. Starting from Lenti, you can enjoy the forests of Zajda and the sight of the fishing lake in Csömödér. Along the railway line, numerous cycling and hiking trails can be discovered. The Márok Chapel, the Budafa Arboretum, the centuries-old church in Pák, the birthplace of Professor Öveges, the Andrássy-Szapáry Castle and Watermill in Szécsisziget, and the thermal bath with a covered and medicinal pool can be reached.
The narrow-gauge railway operates on a scheduled basis from May to September, but there is also the possibility of train rides upon request in other months, even traveling in heated enclosed carriages.
Legalább tizedjére voltunk a szállodában! Minden nyár elején és november végén megyünk! Nagyon szeretjük, a pincérek már ismerősként üdvözölnek, mindenkihez van pár kedves szavuk!
