Diás Island is located in the Kis-Balaton area, southwest of Lake Balaton, much of which enjoys protected status. The area is renowned for its marshy landscape and significantly fluctuating water levels.
The island can be accessed from the direction of Sármellék, at the intersection of highways 71 and 76. Hidden within its groves, visitors can find the memorial house dedicated to István Fekete, where they can get a glimpse into the famous author’s study. Fans of “Tüskevár” can visit Uncle Matula’s hut not only in their imagination but also in reality and explore the area’s natural treasures. This part of Kis-Balaton can be visited on guided tours organized with the permission of the Balaton Uplands National Park Directorate.
Additionally, the island is home to a memorial room for the natural scientist Jakab Vönöczky Schenk.
This was our second time returning to the Belenus Hotel, and once again, we were not disappointed! It is a very cozy, friendly, and charming hotel with a superb little wellness area that perfectly crowns a weekend getaway, along with great food at every meal.
Flóra FejesAz egyik legjobb szálloda, ahol utazásaink során megszálltunk ( világviszonylatban!!!) Tiszta, tágas szoba ( szuperior), szuper a wellnes részleg (mi át sem mentünk a nagy fürdőbe), a reggelinél és vacsoránál bőséges a választék, az ételek nagyon nagyon ízletesek.
Glück-Molnár MariannaWir fühlen uns sehr familiär aufgenommen, deshalb buchen wir immer wieder gern ihr Hotel.
Karin VölzkeLegalább tizedjére voltunk a szállodában! Minden nyár elején és november végén megyünk! Nagyon szeretjük, a pincérek már ismerősként üdvözölnek, mindenkihez van pár kedves szavuk!
Várnagyné Horváth LorettaWe have been to the hotel at least ten times! We go every early summer and at the end of November! We love it; the waiters greet us as familiar faces and always have a few kind words for everyone!
