Diás Island is located in the Kis-Balaton area, southwest of Lake Balaton, much of which enjoys protected status. The area is renowned for its marshy landscape and significantly fluctuating water levels.
The island can be accessed from the direction of Sármellék, at the intersection of highways 71 and 76. Hidden within its groves, visitors can find the memorial house dedicated to István Fekete, where they can get a glimpse into the famous author’s study. Fans of “Tüskevár” can visit Uncle Matula’s hut not only in their imagination but also in reality and explore the area’s natural treasures. This part of Kis-Balaton can be visited on guided tours organized with the permission of the Balaton Uplands National Park Directorate.
Additionally, the island is home to a memorial room for the natural scientist Jakab Vönöczky Schenk.
One of the best hotels we've stayed at during our travels (worldwide!!!). Clean, spacious room (superior), excellent wellness area (we didn't even go to the large bath), and the breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, with the food being incredibly delicious.
Marianna Glück-MolnárThis was our second time returning to the Belenus Hotel, and once again, we were not disappointed! It is a very cozy, friendly, and charming hotel with a superb little wellness area that perfectly crowns a weekend getaway, along with great food at every meal.
Flóra FejesThe quality of service was excellent throughout our four-day stay. The hotel staff were exceptionally courteous, the room was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed delicious food in the restaurant, and the wellness area was very relaxing.
István HorváthWe have been to the hotel at least ten times! We go every early summer and at the end of November! We love it; the waiters greet us as familiar faces and always have a few kind words for everyone!
Loretta Várnagyné HorváthWe stayed at the Belenus Hotel for the third time, and once again, we were not disappointed. It is a very pleasant, comfortable, and beautiful hotel.
